CTE Awards 2024

The Clare-Gladwin Career & Technical Education (CTE) program hosted its annual Student Excellence Award ceremony on May 7, 2024, celebrating the accomplishments of 390-plus CTE students from Clare, Beaverton, Farwell, Gladwin and Harrison. This event recognized several students in particular for their outstanding work in the classroom throughout the 2023-24 school year.

The awards ceremony held at the Magnus Center Campus was divided into two presentations, one each for the program’s morning and afternoon sessions. Attendees, including students and their families, were treated to stories of success from the past academic year.

CTE Director Eric Johnson delivered opening remarks, expressing gratitude to local administrators, superintendents, counselors and teachers for supporting CTE programming.

Speaking to the students, Johnson commended them, saying, "Today, we honor the commitment of our CTE students. We are proud of your initiative in leaving your local districts and taking on additional responsibilities, including safety training, hands-on labs, and work-based learning placements.

Johnson further highlighted the students' exceptional efforts, noting, "It's remarkable to see so many of you dedicating countless nights and weekends to engage in the leadership opportunities and competitions offered by CTE."
