At the holiday playgroup gathering, facilitators supported families in cultivating social connections and peer modeling. The Early On playgroup participated in various activities, including cookie decorating, storytelling, and providing each family with a copy of a book, promoting ongoing learning beyond the event. #CGRESD #EarlyOn

CLARE-GLADWIN CTE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE TEACHER RECEIVES AWARD- CTE Agricultural Science Instructor, Anthony Wood, has been named Michigan Farm Bureau's (MFB) 2023 Educator of the Year on Nov. 28 for his impactful mentorship and dedication to student development. Anthony's active mentorship, highlighted at the MFB's 104th State Annual Meeting, has been instrumental in developing leadership skills of our CTE students through summer camps, classwork, and FFA activities. This award has earned him a $500 grant, and a $1,000 scholarship to attend the 2023 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Congratulations to the "Deck the Door" Winner!
Clare-Gladwin RESD Employees added a touch of holiday cheer with a Deck the Door Contest. After employee voting, the champions emerged—Sharon Schaar, Jessika Alfonso, Mia Fetzer, and Nicole Ganong, who collaborated to create a festive "Whoville" door at the Clare-Gladwin Area School. Hats off to the creative winners of the competition!
Sixteen entries in the Deck the Door contest displayed fantastic holiday decorations, showcasing a delightful variety of creativity. The overall quality of all submissions was truly wonderful. We express sincere gratitude to all participants across CGRESD departments for their contribution to the contest's success.

The CTE Student of the Marking Period program is meant to promote success in and out of the classroom. For a student to be a well-respected citizen, they must be able to balance many different areas of life. They must exemplify outstanding characteristics both as a student and as a citizen of the community. The student must be able to handle many different aspects of student life while maintaining excellence in the CTE Classroom. The Criminal Justice students went to Gladwin on Saturday the 3rd of December for Gladwin's Annual Festival of Lights. In the parade they were responsible for pulling an inflated Candy castle, and interacting with attendees that had come to watch the parade. The parade committee was greatly appreciative of the students' help where a great time twas had by all.
