Clare-Gladwin CTE had a fantastic time at the Clare Area Chamber of Commerce Family Night Out held on Tuesday, October 1st, at Wood's Household Parking Lot! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new friends, including potential future CTE students.
The kids loved exploring our Criminal Justice Patrol Car and getting a chance to run the siren. We also had many participants competing in cornhole, push-up contest, and the step game, all for a chance to win a Deer Blind built by our Construction Trades students
Stay tuned, as we will be drawing for the Deer Blind and contacting the winner later this week
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. We appreciate your support and enthusiasm for CTE! #CTEitsWorking #CGRESD #FamilyNightOut #OurStory

Our team at Clare-Gladwin RESD has been hard at work sorting and organizing essential needs-based items for students in our region! From hygiene products to school supplies, we ensure everything is ready to support students who need it most.

Chantelle McLean and the rest of our CGRESD occupational therapy team target many foundational skills with their students, two of which include pincer grasp and precision placement. These exercises help strengthen hand muscles, preparing students for writing and other fine motor tasks. The difficulty of these activities can be adjusted based on the student's age and current skill level. In addition to muscle development, these tasks enhance eye-hand coordination, contributing to a well-rounded skill set. Activities like placing dot stickers and inserting beads into Mr. Munchie are designed to be both fun and engaging for young students. #CGRESD #ourstory
